: The mission of HSI is to be a center of excellence for mental health, chemical health, and elder health services that bring hope, healing, and recovery to people’s lives. We believe that the vitality and stability of our communities rests on the strength of the individuals and families within them. HSI approaches all assessment and treatment with a holistic view of the client to enhance quality of life and the ability to remain in one’s home or community. We work with public and private partners and serve both the insured and uninsured. HSI directs its mission in five areas of concern: 1. Improving the quality of life and daily functioning for children experiencing emotional disorders while maintaining and strengthening family integrity. 2. Helping persons with serious mental illness maximize their personal potential and quality of life within the community. 3. Breaking the cycle of violence and the incidence of domestic and sexual abuse through prevention, intervention, and treatment. 4. Helping people whose use of mood altering chemicals is harmful to themselves and others. 5. Empowering seniors and persons with disabilities to maintain their dignity, wellbeing, and independence.
