Heriot-Watt Students' Actuarial Society

The Students’ Actuarial Society is here to encourage you to have fun and make the most of your degree, sending you into the world of work well prepared for what lies ahead. We aim to improve your industry knowledge through the newsletters we send out and our annual actuarial conference – filled with knowledgeable speakers giving talks relevant to you. We also hold careers talks from students and companies to give you valuable insight into the recruitment process. We also run a mock assessment centre to put your skills to the test! We liaise with MACS to provide student-led workshops for those studying difficult courses to give extra support and knowledge from experienced individuals. University offers opportunities to meet like-minded individuals, and SAS is no exception! We aim to provide support and help you to relax when all that studying is just a little too much. Our volunteers work tirelessly to ensure that the society runs smoothly and to keep all of its 200+ members coming back year after year.
