HyEkoTank project funded through the Horizon Europe programme targets the development of a technology to retrofit a 2.4 MW fuel cell system and a swappable, 350 bar, 4000 kg hydrogen storage onto the bitumen carrier tanker and will by end of the project achieve system maturity of TRL 8. The technology will be suitable to retrofit a wide range of sea-going and inland waterway vessels.
