Interdisciplinary Climate Economics for Nature and Society - ICENS lab

ICENS lab is a new initiative that aims to foster transformative thinking and practice, towards a future of justice and sustainability. Its innovative side or added value lies in its work ethics approach that pursues, in addition to multi-stakeholder engagement, two under-explored angles. First, it advances pluralist perspectives on climate economics that go beyond the mainstream. This accounts for the diversity in economic thinking, when aiming to understand the workings of our economies and the intricacies of economy-social-ecological interactions. Second, it supports the much underrated dialogue between economics and the world of arts and humanities, when shaping and delivering low-carbon and socially inclusive economies. This is viewed as critical to disseminate knowledge, reimagine the purpose of our economies and the world we live in, and instil change.
