The International and Comparative Law Research Center (ICLRC) is a non-profit organization, an independent open platform that provides expertise in public international law, private international law, international arbitration, comparative law.
The ICLRC serves as a platform for exchange of views and initiates international dialog.
The Center’s agenda includes issues related to the sustainable development and energy transition, general issues of public international law, international trade and investment, digitalization, Eurasian integration, the Arctic region, the World Ocean, etc.
The ICLRC carries out legal research in the selected areas and publishes its results, as well as provides independent expertise to international organizations, business, and State entities, both through speaking at professional events and distributing written materials.
The Center’s expertise is in demand by the most reputable international organizations. The ICLRC has observer status to UNFCCC, UNEA, in three of six UNCITRAL Working Groups, accreditation with UNEP, and the status of the UNEP FI Supporting Institution.
The Center’s team consists of practicing experts who provide overall project management. Project teams include external specialists in various fields and jurisdictions. Our expert network includes about five hundred experts and speakers from more than forty countries.
An important area of our work is promotion of the international law studies. We organize the competition for the International Law in XXI Century Award, the Summer School on Public International Law, provide the Scholarship for Young International Law Researchers and implement a number of other diverse projects.
Our unique library provides free access to classic and contemporary printed publications in various languages on public and private international law, international arbitration, comparative law, as well as electronic legal databases.
