ICOMOS aims in preserving build environments and sites. This is the only global non-governmental organization of this kind, dedicated to promote implementation of the principles of heritage conservation philosophy and conservation science.
ICOMOS Lithuania is the ICOMOS National Committee accredited in the Republic of Lithuania. While implementing the ICOMOS mission and understanding the major contemporary challenges and expectations, it aims to be open to the best practices, to disseminate knowledge about the most effective mechanisms of preserving cultural and natural heritage, to look for a synergy of traditions and modernity, ensuring the transfer of cultural heritage to future generations.
