IDHA Consulting works in the field of international development and humanitarian assistance, providing evaluation expertise in a variety of regions around the world. As an organisation, IDHA Consulting (International Development and Humanitarian Aid Consulting) provides a range of services whilst working with donor countries, UN agencies, national governments, private sector and civil society. Martine Van de Velde, the Principal Consultant, has 25 years’ experience working in the humanitarian and development field, principally working in conflict and fragile contexts. Her in-country experience includes Yemen, Palestine, Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Cambodia, Vietnam, Papua New Guinea, and the Solomon Islands. Martine has experience leading multidisciplinary evaluation and technical assistance teams working for many major donors and UN agencies. She has led or taken part in numerous evaluations focusing on food security and livelihoods, protection, empowering women in humanitarian action, community-based reconciliation, assistance to IDPs and refugees, and the operationalisation of the humanitarian, development and peace-building nexus.
