iDROP

iDROP a/s is a company developing a disruptive method and proprietary equipment for efficient and accurate installation of sensors on or in the seafloor. The Oceanid™ solution is a self-navigating drone that descends purely based on gravity and ballast-shift, and steers from a drop location on the surface to a pre-plot location on the seabed. The complete containerised system is scalable & highly flexible in terms of storage, transport and operation. The Oceanid development project is softfunded by EU, Eureka and the Norwegian Research Council, with complementary industry support from several European Energy Majors.
