Lainergy OÜ is a private limited company, incorporated in 2016 in Estonia. Following several years of research and development by the the company owners, Nikon Vidjajev, Jan Terentjev, and Deniss Izotov remarkable results were achieved that stand out in the wave energy industry. Since 2015 successful tests were conducted of Lainergy's technology through virtual simulation programs, smaller scale prototypes, and improvement of the initial concept with the help of multiple field experts and PhD professors. The company's goal is to create a wave energy converter with a power output comparable to an off-shore wind turbine, but tapping a different energy source. Since 2018, Lainergy started focusing on combining wave energy technology with autonomous surface vehicles.
Lainergy and its developments have been praised by several Estonian institutions and media sources, as well as passing to the finals of regional and international cleantech competitions.
