IFLA Middle East

IFLA Middle East - Championing Landscape Architecture Across 13 Nations IFLA Middle East proudly represents 13 member states in the region, including Bahrain, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen. Among these, four national associations have already gained official recognition from IFLA, with efforts underway to establish more. As the youngest and geographically smallest of the Global Federation's regions, IFLA Middle East is dedicated to fostering the growth of landscape architecture, a profession still in its infancy compared to architecture in the Middle East. IFLA ME's mission involves collaborating with other built-environment professions, supporting the introduction of landscape education programs at universities, facilitating research and documentation, and connecting professionals and businesses to drive innovation, creativity, and excellence in practice. Looking ahead, IFLA ME is set to launch several initiatives designed to transform the landscape industry, including heritage preservation, regenerative landscape techniques, nature-based solutions, food security and agriculture, youth empowerment, and academic affairs.
