IGW Operators Forum (IOF)

IGW Operators Forum (IOF) is an association of the International Gateway Operators (which are responsible for handling international incoming and outgoing calls) approved by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh vide their letter of 14 August 2014 and registered under the Registrar of Joint Stock Company (RJSC) on 10 September 2014. IOF started its operation from 24 June 2015 under a new Network Topology approved by Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) to stabilize the industry plagued by prolonged uneven competition amongst operators. The purpose of this organization, among others, is to facilitate and enforce the provisions related to the settlement and payment of dues of the stakeholders, enforce the provisions of contract between IOF and its members, monitor their activities and overall protect the interest of the Forum.
