IMPROVA aims to close the knowledge gap and enable safer and more inclusive safety systems through holistic assessment methods, including the use of virtual tools and the consideration of a wide diversity of users.
The project's main objective is to comprehensively establish the relationship between immediate injuries and their long-term consequences, as this connection is not yet fully understood. There is strong potential for the use of virtual testing (VT) Human Body Models (HBM) in evaluating long-term consequences of injuries, particularly for studying new and upgraded vehicle interiors in highly automated vehicles as well as other road users such as vulnerable road users (VRUs).
