In Nature Robotics Ltd.

In Nature Robotics Ltd. (www.innaturerobotics.com) was founded in 2019 to develop and sell automated, robotic technology for environmental monitoring. It has developed an autonomous surface vessel (ASV) called AMOS (Aquatic Mini Observation System) for collecting water quality data and surveying of inland coastal areas, lakes, rivers, and streams. AMOS is a solar-powered airboat that offers a simple, low cost solution for getting reliable, automated measurements. In Nature Robotics Ltd. was founded by Murray Lowery-Simpson, a software professional with over 20 years of experience. A Master’s level graduate from the University of Toronto’s Institute for Aerospace Studies, Murray has developed software and hardware for inertial navigation systems, motion capture suits, geotechnical shape sensing arrays, solution gradient monitoring devices, and many different datalogging systems. In March of 2018, he switched to part-time employment at Measurand Inc. to develop the first AMOS prototype, hoping to fill a void in the availability of low-cost, capable ASVs.
