Innermap enhances an individual’s mental health by providing on-demand support from a clinically trained empathic AI system focused on emotional exploration of the root causes of distress and suffering. Innermap’s vision is to create empathic AI that not only aids users in understanding their core emotional problems but can also help to process and transform those emotions to promote psychological healing and sustained relief. This is important to me as a founder because I am dedicated to advancing mental health care in directions that will allow it to live to up to its great promise. Over the past 10 years, I have worked in the highest quality mental health training facilities to find which approaches translate into long-term improvements in quality of life and well-being for most people. Along this path, I have worked with world-leading experts in trauma who avoid the trap of treating symptoms but rather adopt emotion-focused approaches that get to the root of the problem. Instead of Band-Aid solutions, emotion-centered approaches address the root cause of suffering to achieve fundamental lasting change. This experience has led us to build a company which is accessible to and provides the highest quality outcomes for people who struggle with their emotions or mental health. Innermap is the first system that uses empathic reflection to guide users as they explore their emotional landscape. This does not mean telling users how they feel, but rather, guides users as they explore how they feel and why, much akin to working with a highly skilled therapist. To date, the current systems on the market allow users to track basic emotions and work through more superficial thinking patterns, temporarily reducing distress. In contrast, innermap, is centred around guiding people to explore their experiences to understand what they feel and why.
