InnovaCyBridge

https://eit-hei.eu/projects/innovacybridge/ InnovaCyBridge is a transformative project that integrates advanced cybersecurity management into entrepreneurial education, addressing the evolving needs of the digital economy. Rooted in the UK’s CyBOK framework and guided by contemporary pedagogies such as TPACK and Kolb’s Experiential Learning Cycle, it delivers training in digital forensics, AI integration, cloud security, and cryptographic systems. At its core is a robust “Train the Trainer” model that empowers Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to independently and sustainably deliver cybersecurity education. The project also supports startups and SMEs through mentoring, venture-building workshops, and challenge-driven innovation, enhancing both resilience and market readiness. The initiative is led by Aston University (United Kingdom) and implemented by a distinguished consortium including Hellenic Mediterranean University (Greece), Acceler8 (Malta), University Business Academy in Novi Sad – UBANS (Serbia), Twinnovation (Israel), Israel Innovation Institute (Israel), and Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Hungary). Together, the partners foster collaboration across academia, industry, and policy through Knowledge Hubs and Communities of Practice. The project promotes global employability by offering ISACA-aligned certifications such as CISM and CRISC. By 2027, InnovaCyBridge aims to train over 1,500 students and staff, support 36 startups, and strengthen ties between education, research, and industry—contributing to sustainable digital transformation and cybersecurity resilience in Widening countries and beyond.
