Vision: Securing Water-Safe Communities in India At INREM Foundation, we are committed to developing and supporting sustainable solutions that help in solving problems of Water contamination across India. Key focus areas: Tech enabled solutions: We are building jalxchange.io as an integrated platform to scale our flagship programme of Water Quality Champions that enhances the ability and agency of rural communities to detect and solve Water problems. Our tech philosophy is to compose from open source and Digital Public Goods (DPG) such as ECHO (iecho.org), Glific (glific.org), Frappe (frappe.io) and Dalgo (dalgo.in). The mission is to reach 1 million Water Quality Champions by 2030 from our current reach of 60,000 such Changemakers. Community based research: INREM has teams in 8 states of India where we focus on highly Water contaminated toxic hotspots, with simple solutions that can solve serious health problems of fluoride, arsenic and other emerging problems. Our work has brought Safe water to 7.5 Million people in the action districts of Jhabua (MP), Buxar (Bihar), Nalbari (Assam), Dungarpur (Rajasthan), Balasore (Odisha), Chikaballapur (Karnataka), Nalgonda (Telangana) and Anand (Gujarat).
