South Central Community Action Program is a nonprofit organization based in Bloomington, Indiana that has served low-income people for more than 55 years. Our mission is to provide opportunities for low-income individuals and families to achieve personal and economic independence. We serve more than 4,000 families annually, representing more than 9,000 individuals in Brown, Monroe, Morgan, and Owen counties. SCCAP administers the Energy Assistance Program, Housing Choice Opportunities, and Weatherization in all four counties, while providing Head Start & Early Head Start, Growing Opportunities, and Thriving Connections in Monroe County. All SCCAP services are provided without regard to race, age, color, religion, sex, disability, national origin, ancestry or status as a veteran.
