SCCAP's mission is to empower families and engage the community to pursue innovative and effective solutions to break the cycle of poverty in South Central Pennsylvania. With a robust history that has constantly evolved to fit the community's needs, SCCAP has helped bring healthy food to thousands of food-insecure families, provide shelter for hundreds of homeless individuals, help dozens of families move out of poverty, and so much more.
SCCAP works with low-income families, donors, and community allies on a micro and individual level to help them achieve their goals to move out of poverty. These programs also enable us, at a macro level, to take what we are learning from families about the barriers that keep all families stuck in poverty and engage the community to help us identify and implement effective solutions.
