Huit centres de recherche grenoblois sont engagés dans l’institut Carnot “PolyNat” dédié à l’écoproduction de matériaux biosourcés performants et innovants.
PolyNat s’intéresse à l’élaboration et à la valorisation de matériaux fonctionnels à haute valeur ajoutée soit « hybrides » (en partie issus des ressources fossiles et naturelles), soit intégralement « biosourcés », en tirant profit de l’autoassemblage de briques élémentaires constituant la matière végétale (glycopolymères, nanocristaux, fibres cellulosiques), aux échelles micro- et nanométriques.
