The Institut de Physique de Nice (INPHYNI) is a joint research unit (UMR 7010) under the dual supervision of Université Côte d'Azur and the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). Created on January 2017, it was formed from the merger of the Laboratoire de Physique de la Matière Condensée and the Institut Non Linéaire de Nice. INPHYNI brings together approximately 175 researchers, faculty members, engineers, technicians, and PhD students, organized into 11 research teams. Its activities are structured around three main themes: Waves and Quantum Physics, Photonics, Nonlinear Physics, Complex Fluids, and Biophysics. The institute hosts two technological platforms and contributes to master’s degree programs in research and professional training.
