Formula Student is the world’s largest student competition, where the goal is to engineer, design and construct a formula racecar. The event takes place at the legendary Silverstone Circuits in Northamptonshire, England. Teams from different universities and colleges around the world meet to compete. There are loads of different criteria’s; economical, energy-efficient, design and performance to name a few.
ION Racing is the formula student team, and the biggest student project, at the University of Stavanger, Norway. The team mostly consists of engineering students who devote a great portion of their spare time to work on the project. Our goal is to create the engineers of the future.
As of 2022 the team has constructed a total of 9 cars, 7 of which being electrically powered. During the FSUK competition in 2022 the team won the title for the «most efficient car».
