About Injury & Violence Prevention Center
The Injury & Violence Prevention Center, a collaborative initiative between the Colorado School of Public Health and the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Anschutz Medical Campus, is at the forefront of addressing the critical issue of injury and violence. Injury remains a significant threat both in Colorado and across the United States. Our approach is deeply interdisciplinary, harnessing the power of collaboration across multiple fields. We proudly engage with partners in diverse settings, including hospitals, community organizations, and government offices, to tackle the multifaceted challenges of injury and violence prevention. Our commitment extends to the next generation of professionals. We actively involve students from all disciplines, offering a multitude of opportunities for research and practice-based learning. Through these initiatives, we empower students to contribute to real-world solutions and engage in meaningful, hands-on experiences. Our core mission revolves around research, training, and prevention.
