About The JARAB Foundation ( Soon to be rebranded as Araba Foundation)

In 2019, the JARAB Foundation conducted an inquiry into the tenets of poverty among children in underserved communities in Ghana and how it can be reduced. It was discovered that the low sense of achievement and financial challenges aggravate poverty among these children. Specifically, due to the common low self-esteem among many rural children and financial challenges, it limits their pursuit of higher education. This has denied them access to quality education that could help them harness and fulfill their dreams and aspirations, contributing to turning the tide of poverty in their lives, their families, and their communities. Addressing the issue of low self-esteem among children in these communities and providing financial support for their tertiary education can contribute to eradicating poverty in underserved communities and globally. This is the goal that the JARAB Foundation seeks to achieve. The JARAB Foundation is a registered NGO in Ghana working to improve the low self-esteem among children in underserved communities, contributing to the reduction of poverty. We engage school children in Junior High Schools and Senior High Schools in underserved communities in peer mentorship, menstrual hygiene sensitization, career coaching, and campaigns for zero teenage pregnancy, along with back-to-school donations. Currently, our efforts are focused on the Abura Asebu Kwamankese District in the Central Region of Ghana. Vision Statement: A world where a child in a less privileged community sees beyond his or her potential limitations and strives to actualize his or her dreams and aspirations, contributing to turning the tide of poverty within themselves, their families, communities, and the world. Mission Statement: To mentor, empower, and support children in underserved communities in Ghana, enabling them to pursue higher education and actively participate in turning the tide of poverty.
