The Jersey Bank Depositors Compensation Scheme (DCS) has been in force since November 2009.
Jersey has a strong and robust banking sector and the island did not have a single bank failure in the 2008 global financial crisis. The DCS was set up to provide depositors with compensation in the unlikely event of bank failure.
