But there is one problem with the API — the documentation. There is no easy way to keep the API documentation 100% up-to-date. Because of this, the API documentation quickly becomes obsolete. This slows down development, increases the number of bugs, and eventually leads to architectural degradation of the system. The cost of developing increases by 50% or more.
