• Jerusalem Transportation Master Plan Team (JTMT) has been shaping transportation in Jerusalem and the metro area since 1967, serving as a strategic arm of the Jerusalem Municipality, Israel’s Ministry of Transport (MOT), and Ministry of Finance (MOF). • As a one-stop shop for metropolitan transport, JTMT oversees the initiation, planning, construction, and operation of a world-class transportation network - including the LRT network, future metro lines, bus systems, transit hubs, bike lane networks, and public transit lines - while advancing transit-oriented development (TOD) to enhance mobility, connectivity, and quality of life across Jerusalem and its metropolitan area. • Jerusalem is Israel’s first region to operate a Light Rail Train (LRT) system, now evolving into the country’s first fully integrated LRT network. Unlike any other region, JTMT uniquely consolidates all transportation activities, overseeing current and future public transit and road infrastructure. • Beyond public transport, JTMT leads holistic urban planning, integrating road construction, terminal and parking development, pedestrian and cycling infrastructure, and seamless Light Rail Train (LRT) connectivity.
