Keeping Abreast offers 'patient led' support for women who are facing or who have faced mastectomy after the diagnosis of breast cancer or the discovery of a breast cancer gene. Our network of volunteers and support groups help ladies through a very confusing and extremely emotional time when they must make some difficult decisions when considering or undergoing breast reconstruction.
We provide;
- emotional support, information and advice to women and their families in relaxes and informal environments with others who have faced or who are facing similar paths
- the chance to see real surgery results in our 'show and tell' sessions, which we are told on so many occasions are invaluable at such a crucial time
- financial and practical support to those women that need additional help at home
