Welcome to Centaur Rehabilitation Center
Located in Volos, in the foot of mountain Pelion, Magnesia, Centaur Rehabilitation Center has been one of the region’s leading providers of physical rehabilitation services since 2002.
Centaur Rehabilitation Center honors the centaurs of Greek mythology, members of a composite race of creatures, part human and part horse. This half-human and half-animal composition has led many writers to treat them as liminal creatures, caught between the two natures, embodied in contrasted myths, both as the embodiment of untamed nature, as in their battle with the Lapiths, or conversely as teachers, like Chiron.
Centaurs were said to have inhabited the region of Magnesia and Mount Pelion in Thessaly.
Mission & Vision
The mission of the Centaur Rehabilitation Center is to provide comprehensive, coordinated and individualized rehabilitation services as an integral part of the continuum of care. We are committed to helping our patients understand and accept their new level of ability, to achieve their maximum functional abilities in all spheres of life and to reintegrate into the community to the greatest possible extent. We also strive to have our patients and significant others accept responsibility for their own health maintenance through education, self-care and follow up services.
Vision
Our vision is to provide services to adult patients without regard to socioeconomic status; to continually add or modify new services which will increase positive outcomes for the patients and to increase our knowledge and use of that knowledge to become the premier Rehabilitation Facility in Thessaly.
