Nicoletta Petalidou holds a degree in psychology and a master’s degree from Maastricht University in the Netherlands. She has specialized in neuropsychology and neuroscience with an emphasis on psychopharmacology and its relation to cognitive functions. She works at the University of Maastricht, Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience and at the 3rd Psychiatric Clinic, AHEPA of the Aristotle University as a researcher, where she further specialized in neuropsychological assessment and clinical cases. She has participated in international conferences as a speaker and has published papers in international scientific journals. She is a member of the Society of Neurosciences and Rehabilitation (ENA). In addition to private practice, she has worked as a psychologist and psychoanalytic psychotherapist in various public and private law bodies, in Greece and the Netherlands, and with a wide range of populations: adults, children and teenagers. Her psychoanalytic training took place within the framework of the Freudian Society of Northern Greece, Lacanian Orientation of the school of Freudian Cause (École de la cause freudienne).
