About Kids in Focus

Kids in Focus is a 501(c)3. We work with youth experiencing the challenges of growing along with serious adversities such as economic insecurity, and food and housing instability. Through our Photography Programs youth are paired with dedicated volunteer mentors. Together they explore the world with their cameras - gaining new perspectives, confidence and resilence. Giving kids a new lens on life! When kids experience trauma, they disconnect from the world and from themselves. A camera in their hands, with the right guidance and encouragement, can switch the light in their eyes back on, giving them a new lens on life.
