Following extensive travel across Africa, KISUA’s Ghanaian Founder Sam Mensah Jr, previously Intel Capital Africa Director and Deutsche Bank analyst, believed Africa could offer the world a fresh perspective on style. He had a vision for an international e-commerce platform that would take African fashion to global customers and create opportunities for African designers.
KISUA aims to provide a sustainable platform for African craftsmen and designers to access the international market. We fund designer collaborations through the KISUA Designer Fund, and provide financial support to African designers by paying a portion of every sale from collaborative collections directly to the designer.
The KISUA team has experience in fashion design and production, e-commerce and global logistics.
Inspired by the sights, sounds and tastes of Africa, we blend traditional techniques and materials with a contemporary design aesthetic.
KISUA means 'Well Dressed Person' in Swahili.
