Art cannot be made in haste. It needs calm. Almost like you are always sitting on the grass in front of a pond- happy, sad, lonely, numb, cheerful, enthusiastic. Pandemic, for us The Borana Sisters, was the same. Sitting on the grass in front of the pond and introspecting what we want out of our lives when the world has stopped and there is nowhere to run to and call ourselves “busy”. So, our inner calling brought us back to our childhood when we would visit endless art and stationary exhibitions. We missed doing that in the pandemic so we decided to create an opportunity out of our deep love and emotion. So the psychology and art background find their way through the world of entrepreneurship and bring to you ‘Kitap India’. A place where art will meet stationary and create stories through collaboration, inspiration and laughter.
