We are 18 New Zealand research organisations who receive public funding, working to transform our scientific discoveries into new products, services and companies. Our collective vision for New Zealand is to take it from a commodity to a knowledge-based economy that delivers significant economic growth and prosperity. Together we represent a total combined research expenditure of over $800 million and represent 80% of the publicly funded researchers in New Zealand. So far, we have generated a greater than eight-fold return to New Zealand on funding invested. The secret of our success is an internationally unique, open model of genuine collaboration, built upon mutual trust.
