Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre (AIMS) is a not-for-profit organization established with the goal of providing excellence in healthcare and improving the overall well-being of the community through strong programs in preventive medicine, medical education and research. AIMS is located near Kochi, in the state of Kerala, India. AIMS is part of the health sciences campus of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (Amrita University). The institute was inaugurated on May 17, 1998 by the then prime minister of India, Sri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, in the presence of her Holiness, Mata Amritanandamayi.
