The WEST program is a joint initiative of the Republic of Korea and the U.S. Department of State. Since 2009, over 4,000 students and young professionals have participated in the program.
The program is open to Korean students who have completed their 4th semester (or 2nd semester for 2 year university programs). Recent graduates are also eligible to apply, within one year prior to the program start date.
The Korea WEST exchange program provides South Korean university students and young professionals the opportunity to intern, complete an intensive English study program, and explore the life and culture of the United States through immersion and independent travel.
- Formal English language instruction and cultural training (up to four months)
