Kountermove is the leader in fantasy combat sports today – featured in Forbes (Jan. ‘15) and Rookie of the Year Product 2015 (Fantasy Sports Trade Association). Kountermove is an innovative ‘first-mover’ brand that has captured an early lead in the burgeoning fantasy sports market. We offer both free and cash games in 5 combat sports, across 8 different organizations. Fantasy combat sports works like daily fantasy football (Fanduel, Draft Kings, etc.), but for MMA, boxing, kickboxing, WWE and pro Jiu-Jitsu events. We are at the intersection of two massive consumer trends – mixed martial arts and fantasy sports. Summer 2015, daily fantasy sports investment reached ~$600m. Growth in fantasy sports is being driven by “daily fantasy” (DFS) with 9m new daily players entering the market who will generate $2.6b in entry fees this year (expected to reach $11b by 2018). Future opportunities in fantasy sports will be in new categories beyond traditional sports. Daily fantasy for MMA and boxing are the most promising, strategic, and untapped categories. Combat sports are year-round, international, the strongest Saturday night “lead in” fantasy sport, and have an ideal fan demographic for DFS. We believe fantasy will become a core part of the entertainment experience in combat sports and a key driver of engagement in live events just as it is with football today.
