Summer 2015, daily fantasy sports investment reached ~$600m. Growth in fantasy sports is being driven by “daily fantasy” (DFS) with 9m new daily players entering the market who will generate $2.6b in entry fees this year (expected to reach $11b by 2018).
Future opportunities in fantasy sports will be in new categories beyond traditional sports.
