La Vecchia Dispensa is one of the first and oldest companies that started to produce Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena DOP and Balsamic Vinegar of Modena IGP.
The story of Acetaia La Vecchia Dispensa began four generations ago in the village of Castelvetro (Modena), when the family Pelloni-Tintori started ageing Balsamic Vinegar of Modena in precious wooden barrels in a private Acetaia (the storage room for balsamic barrels).
In 1975 the family established La Vecchia Dispensa (the old house pantry) company inside the family house, with the intention of keeping and carrying on the purest traditional food of Modena. On the ground floor, there is the artisan workshop where products are obtained by following traditional or innovative recipes.
A fine organic production has been started in 2002 and is now one of the core business of the company.
