Super-Repellent Food Packaging System for Liquid-Food Containers. LastDrop the product, is a nanotechnology-driven edible coating system, possessing sustainability and antioxidant/antimicrobial properties. LastDrop product can be applied onto the internal walls of food containers, especially the non-Newtonian food liquids such as sauce, yogurt, honey, and others. Regardless of the food liquid viscosity, LastDrop prevents any adhesion of the food to the container’s walls and provides a smooth flow due to the minimized frictional force. LastDrop is safe to be used in food containers since it is made of edible materials. LastDrop also exhibits a profound antimicrobial property which effectively prevents the food from being microbially contaminated. The observed antimicrobial property was significantly effective and highly stable throughout the storage time period of Ketchup sauces. In addition to the mentioned features, LastDrop also causes the food container/bottle to become more recyclable due to eliminating the need to wash out the containers.
