About Louisiana Wind Energy Week

A Convening on Offshore Wind Produced by Greater New Orleans, Inc. (GNO, Inc.) and the Southeastern Wind Coalition (SEWC), Louisiana Wind Energy Week will convene local suppliers, community stakeholders, national partners, global developers, and environmental specialists in a week of enriching activities surrounding the State of Louisiana’s emerging offshore wind industry. Taking place January 27th to the 31st, 2025, the program will advance key conversations concerning the opportunities and challenges facing the development of a robust wind energy industry in Louisiana – carrying the State’s legacy as an energy leader into the future. The program is slated to include offshore wind workforce and supply chain summits with local companies and training providers in partnership with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) & the Department of Energy (DOE), tours engaging participants in Louisiana’s rich energy infrastructure, an environmental research roundtable hosted by the National Wildlife Federation and University of New Orleans Wind Energy Hub, and the third-annual Tulane University Law School Offshore Wind Regulatory Conference – just to name a few!
