Legacy Donor Foundation is a non-profit (501c3) organization that is dedicated to raising public awareness and education about the need for organ, eye and tissue donation in Louisiana. Legacy is the only organization in the State of Louisiana that solely dedicated to growing the state registry. Since this is our only focus we are dedicated to effectively growing the registry through our state wide educational and advocacy programs.
Legacy Donor Foundation was founded by David Voelker in 1999, with the mission to save and heal lives by inspiring Louisiana residents to register as organ, eye and tissue donors. We accomplish this mission by providing education programs and public awareness activities to the citizens of Louisiana.
