A civil association registered under No. 5961 of 2005 working with children, adolescents and youth. Lekaa Association for Solidarity and Social Action has been working in the community since 1982, when it adopted the Zabbaleen district in Mokattam and set out to Mansheyet Al-Jabal Al-Asfar in Al-Marj and expanded its work later to Imbaba, Al-Warraq, Al-Warraq Island and Al-Zaher neighborhood. Through its programs and projects, Lekaa Association worked with more than 50,000 children nationwide and more than 100,000 young men and women in Egypt to discover themselves and their abilities and become positive generations that bear the responsibility and leadership of society The vision: Generations of children and young people believe in diversity and openness and in their active role in leading change within their societies in a free framework respecting difference and contributing to self-awareness, development, and evolution. The Mission: Based on our belief in the capacities of children and young people to do change and the richness inherent in diversity, we, Lekaa association, an Egyptian Association that seeks to empower and support the issues of children and young people from diverse environments and communities, especially those most in need, by adopting the participatory approach, providing diverse spaces for experimentation, learning by practicing, creating a positive environment for coexistence and growth, building bridges for communication between different cultures and working in partnership with entities and institutions to strengthen their capacities.
