OUR MISSION To help people discover various cultures by organizing events and publishing works about cultural richness and uniqueness. WHO WE ARE Le Linguiste is a self-publishing company founded in 2010. In the years since its creation, Caroline Bigelow, the founder of Le Linguiste, has become fascinated by the idea of publishing FlashBooks to help connect people with various cultures. WHY CULTURES? Cultures can be defined as a set of codes, norms, values, beliefs, artistic expressions, conventions, customs and social activities that characterize a community or country. In a multicultural country, these sets of codes may vary from one community to another. The cultures of a country or a community, are at the centre of all human activities and interactions. Cultures impact businesses; therefore, corporations and institutions must adopt a global mindset by learning about other cultures in order to effectively design their corporate cultures and build strong teams. WHAT WE BELIEVE Entrepreneurship is the road to success. A global mindset is key to successful business cultures. Knowledge Is Power. WHAT WE DO We publish FlashBooks about cultures in order to provide readers with exciting content that is easy to read, thought-provoking, and enjoyable. We guide self-published authors through every step of the publishing process. We organize live cultural events to give the audience the opportunity to discover, taste, feel, and enjoy the traditions, values, and heritage characteristics that a particular culture has to offer. We run workshops on communication skills and cross-cultural communication strategies in different languages. We give community members opportunities to use their innovative business ideas in areas where our cultural events are taking place. We run the SCRIBA Project to empower students around the globe and give them the opportunity to publish their own works and share them with schools in their local communities and abroad.
