Lancaster University Linguistics and English Language Society

This is LAEL, Lancaster University's Linguistics and English Language Society. The society is designed for students interested in Linguistics and English Language. We aim to provide support to students interested in the field by exposing them to professionals in the field, raising awareness of the career paths linguistics and English Language can take you on. We aim to organise social events to encourage networking, building a community that students can fall back on even after they have left university. We aim to be a society that prepares its members for the major employment challenges they may face in the future, ranging from advantageous skill sets to career paths they could enter.
