LEP Biomedical's core mission is to make glaucoma drainage surgeries 100% successful and relieve the burden associated with post-surgery follow up care. LEP Biomedical specializes in local ophthalmic drug delivery. Specifically,"HyaGuard" is our biodegradable solution designed to replace patient-administered anti-inflammatory drops. HyaGuard is also designed to be compatible with traditional trabeculectomy surgeries or drainage tubes. HyaGuard is rapidly and easily inserted into the sub-conjunctival space at the end of a standard surgery. Here, it delivers anti-inflammatory drugs in a controlled manner. This is intended to eliminate the need for self-administered anti-inflammatory drops, decrease post-surgical complications and improve patient quality of life.
