LESCO Manufacturing is a local producer of electrical products that employs the traditionally unemployable. The company was founded in 1999 by David Shapiro and since its inception, has set out to increase job creation for demographics typically sidelined in the past.
DESIGN
Our assembly process has been specifically designed to use minimal equipment with no electricity, with mechanical technology, making production a safe, cost effective and efficient process. Our unique design enables any class of labour to assemble our products.
COMMERCIAL
Our commercial role is to produce our whole range of products at low cost with high quality and safety standards to the South African market. All of our products adheres to local standards, which include SABS specifications.
We are a Walmart approved company. LESCO is renowned for its strict quality control and quick response time to any specification changes.
SOCIAL
Through our community development programmes, we have been able to provide work opportunities to the following demographics: low-medium and high functioning disabled, women and youth.
