Les Vinyes del Convent

Les Vinyes del Convent was born to pay tribute to a family dedicated for more than two centuries to the world of wine. Elias Gil is the son, grandson, great-grandson, great-great-grandson and great-great-great grandson of vine growers rooted in Horta and its vineyards. Horta de Sant Joan is the Gil family’s cradle, the place where it all began. After decades of experience and a great passion for oenology, once the Gandesa winery was consolidated, Elias raises in Horta his most personal project to return to his origins. The vineyards that give life to our project are ours. Some are part of the family legacy, others have been chosen and acquired for their pureness, Landscape chart and their suitability for the type of viticulture that the winery demands. Five different varieties of garnacha are found in the vineyards that surround the winery: Garnacha Blanca, Garnacha Tinta, Garnacha Peluda, Garnacha Tintorera and our Garnacha Alta. QUALITY AND PROXIMITY The main goal of the winery is to achieve a delicate style based on the freshness and the fruit of our wines with the primary objective of developing products of the highest quality.
