The firm was originally founded by Robert P. Lynn, Jr. over thirty years ago. Mr. Lynn established one of Long Island’s premier litigation practices, trying cases in New York State and federal courts throughout the country, as well as handling appeals to the highest courts throughout the country.
In September of 2006, Lynn & Gartner was formed when Judge Kenneth L. Gartner stepped down from his position with the New York State District Court to return to private practice.
In Judge Gartner’s seven years on the bench, he had become the most published judge in the history of the New York State District Court. He was previously a partner in Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein, P.C., concentrating in complex commercial litigation and appeals.
In July 2008, Lynn, Gartner & Dunne was formed when John Dunne left the firm Kelleher & Dunne, of Manhattan, to rejoin Lynn & Gartner as a partner. Mr. Dunne brings extensive experience in the areas of general civil and complex commercial litigation, real estate law, commercial transactions, institutional lending, and appellate practice.
All partners have received an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell, which is assigned to lawyers who have reached the height of professional excellence and who are recognized for the highest levels of skill and integrity.
