Vision & Mission ::: With LH2 as fuel, LH2 Shipping AS will contribute to the development of a sustainable, innovative, reliable, low-risk, competitive and cost-effective global shipping industry. Business Concept ::: Advancing from M/F Hydra, world's first liquid hydrogen LH2-powered ship (Norled, 2023), to coastal and shortsea ships. Key personnel in LH2 Shipping AS were leading the development of the ferry M/F Hydra. Technology is now matured and ready for further realisation within maritime transport. LH2 Shipping aims to safely and effectively realise LH2-ship technology to a wide range of vessels globally by ensuring safe, cost-effective design and operations of LH2-fuelled ships through; • LH2 Shipping assists ship owners in developing hydrogen fuelled vessels, with a main focus on LH2. • We are working closely with ship designers and equipment suppliers to develop efficient and safe operations for given route profiles. • We are developing bunkering solutions, in cooperation with ports, as part of the ship projects in order to provide effective and short bunkering times. • We manage the required risk assessment process (HAZID, risk register, risk analysis, simulations) for hydrogen fuelled vessels, the IMO alternative design process, where risks are integrated in the ship design in an iterative manner. • We work closely with LH2 supply chain companies to provide hydrogen fuel Market & Timing ::: • Growing Demand: Increasing environmental regulations and a global shift towards sustainable energy sources create a growing demand for new zero emission maritime solutions. • Regulatory incentives & a non-compliance alert: Meeting the needs for a fleet in compliance with stricter EU ETS emission regulations. • Reducing OPEX costs and lowering the Co2 budget: Offering LH2 technology to various ship types provides LH2 Shipping with a competitive advantage in serving a wide range of ship owners providing reductions for cargo owner's CO2 budget.
