Life Makers Association (LMA) is a Libyan society civil organization- a nonprofit organization- and independent of any political party. Registered in the Ministry of Culture under no.1582.
The headquarters of LMA is in Sabha. It covers the whole of the south of Libya. It also has several affiliated teams which carry out its various activities in some Libyan cities such as Benghazi, Misurata, Derna, and Tripoli).
Life Makers Association was founded in 2012 in Libya by a group of young volunteers. Their aim was to establish an independent organization that focuses on making changes in their country. Life Makers has started with goals that aim to build capacity and empower women, youth and children through awareness-raising within the community , training , creates campaigns and delivers humanitarian aids to Libyan's needs. LMA is working now on all over the country to increase cultural awareness, support youth and women, access to health care and help communities recover from emergencies. These initiatives are activing within the Libyan community and help people live healthier and more productive lives. LMA collaborates with both private and public sectors to develop community culture for people, especially young women. LMA benefits from its cooperation with international organizations operating in Libya to strengthen the logic of intervention and to provide projects of great benefit, and expanded scope of its work at the level of the cities of Libya. LMA adopts a long-term approach to its interventions and commit itself to innovative solutions that drive real change.
