Light is a charity working to support the emotional wellbeing and mental health of mums and their families in Sheffield and beyond, during pregnancy, birth and afterwards. Vision Effective peer support for anyone struggling with their mental health and emotional wellbeing during pregnancy, birth and afterwards. Mission We support anyone struggling emotionally during pregnancy, birth and beyond. We provide peer support, raise awareness and promote understanding of perinatal mental health. Values • Hope – we show there is light at the end of the tunnel • Supportive – we provide help to anyone who needs it, without judgement • Empathetic – we truly understand how it feels to struggle emotionally • Compassionate – we’re caring, kind and considerate in all our actions • Collaborative – we work together to ensure anyone gets the support they need Originally established by some Sheffield mums, we now support mums and families in Sheffield, Doncaster and Rotherham... but we'd love to do more. We provide much needed support to mums and families across the region. This includes peer-to-peer support, support groups, telephone and email support, and our online forum. Charity number: 1149125.
